It seems the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus will finally look like the kind of phone fans have been imagining for years. It will be thinner, stronger, and waterproof. Not only that, but it might also host an edge-to-edge screen.

Since Apple is planning to remove the headphone jack, it's expected that the phone will be even thinner. To replace the standard headphone jack, Apple will allow for users to plug their headphones in through the lightning port. Also, users will be able to use Bluetooth to connect wireless headphones as well. A lightning port for the iPhone headphones has been speculated since 2012, so consumers may finally see the rumor come true.
The phone's design will receive a revamp in 2016, going for a full-metal look. The new metal-clad phone will be thinner than the 7.1mm iPhone 6.
Apple has always used LCD screens for its phones but in 2016, it looks like they will update to superior OLED screens. This notion comes from the hint given by LG and Samsung, Apple's provider of screens, and their investment in new OLED-manufacturing equipment.
Remember how for a long time, fans speculated Apple would release a phone that looks like this?

It seems this will come to fruition in 2016. Word has it that Apple is planning to make the screen edge-to-edge thanks to the new body the phone will have.
The iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus are already waterproof, so consumers can expect the next phone to also be waterproof. This time, Apple will actually announce that the phone will be waterproof since they are working on technologies that will actually push water out of the phone in a situation.
All of these physical features fans will love, but history proves right, it's likely that the new iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus will be more expensive than the previous generation. It will be worth it, however, since the phone will finally look like how fans wanted.
